The Inn at The Wharf – Seaside Suites
Located in the picturesque seaside village of Lubec, the Inn at the Wharf welcomes guests in six elegantly appointed suites and three two bedroom, two bath apartments. The suites share a gathering space with a kitchen, dining areas and a beautiful two-level deck oceanfront.. The windows in the apartments and suites look directly out to the water.
The Inn at the Wharf is located in a newly renovated 100 year old sardine factory. The Inn is part of a beautiful balance of the old and the new, a gentle blending of a working waterfront and an elegant Inn. Guests at the Inn enjoy the feeling of being upon the sea as they can walk from their oceanfront rooms to the outside decks and on to the working wharf where lobster boats pull up with there daily catch.
Innkeepers, Judy and Victor Trafford and their competent staff welcome you to spend time at the Inn and to enjoy Lubec with its beautiful hiking trails, to ride a bicycle to the many lighthouses, to enjoy whale watching, shopping and dining. Bring your golf clubs and passport and take the short drive to Campobello Island for an enjoyable game of golf.
The Inn at the Wharf is the perfect place for a couple or family getaway while also being able to accommodate groups. The Inn is able to accommodate guests for writing, art, yoga, music or corporate retreats or workshops. For boating groups, there is boat dockage on the wharf. The Inn is also a popular place for family reunions and weddings. Groups can enjoy the spacious gathering rooms and conference space which can be set-up specifically to each groups specifications.
In the 2010 season, the Inn at the Wharf will be celebrating the 100 year anniversary of this historic building with a new restaurant, gift shop, kayak rentals, six more suites and the return of the To & Fro water taxi traveling from the Wharf to Eastport and taking guests out daily to whale watch. The new restaurant will be serving a light breakfast and seafood lunches and dinners created from the catch received at The Wharf.
